Terms and Conditions
Hunte Psychotherapy and Counselling is committed to providing a high standard of psychotherapy and counselling services while maintaining ethical, professional, and transparent practices. These Terms and Conditions outline the expectations, responsibilities, and policies that govern the therapeutic relationship. By engaging in services, clients agree to these terms.
1. Services Offered
Hunte Psychotherapy and Counselling provides psychotherapy and counselling services both online and in-person:
In-Person Sessions: Held at a private location in South East London, as agreed upon during the initial consultation.
Online Sessions: Delivered via Zoom, ensuring a secure and confidential experience, all initial consultations are online sessions.
2. Appointments and Cancellation Policies
Booking and Scheduling
Appointments, including the initial consultation, are scheduled in advance.
Regular sessions are held at the same time and day each week to ensure continuity and structure in the therapeutic process. Flexibility may be accommodated in special circumstances, with prior discussion.
Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Initial Consultations: Cancellations of initial consultations are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule an initial consultation, at least 48 hours’ notice is required, rescheduling initial consultations are free of charge.
Ongoing Sessions: If you need to reschedule a regular session, at least 48 hours' notice is required. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee (£80).
3. Fees and Payment
Session Fees
The fee for an initial consultation and subsequent therapy sessions is £80 per 60 minute session.
Payment Terms
Payments must be made in advance of each session via bank transfer or another agreed-upon method.
If payment is not received before the session, the appointment may be rescheduled, unless alternative payment schedule is agreed upon through prior discussion.
4. Online Therapy Policies
Technical and Privacy Requirements
To ensure the confidentiality of online therapy sessions and initial consultations via Zoom:
Clients should use a secure and private space, free from interruptions.
Clients should take reasonable precautions to minimise risks to the confidentiality of the session, such as avoiding public networks and ensuring privacy during the call.
Confidentiality During Online Sessions
Hunte Psychotherapy and Counselling uses Zoom's encryption features to ensure data security during sessions. No sessions will be recorded without the client's signed consent.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Confidentiality
Everything shared during sessions will remain confidential unless exceptions apply, as outlined in the Confidentiality Policy. These exceptions include:
Risks of harm to self or others.
Legal obligations (e.g., safeguarding concerns or court orders).
Supervision: To ensure quality care, case details may be shared with a professional supervisor bound by the same confidentiality standards.
Data Protection
Personal data is collected and stored securely, in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Records are retained for 7 years following the end of therapy and securely deleted thereafter.
